So I'm separating the applications for my husband and I. Since we live in the US, who supplies the proof of our intent to move to Canada, my husband (Principal applicant) or I (the Sponsor)? I threw it in my package, but I just want to confirm.

I'm assuming both sets of paperwork are sent to Ottawa to be reviewed together, once I'm approved as a sponsor?

Thanks!

it doesn't matter how the application was organized because when cic receives the package, they will reorganize it based on their own protocols. "your package" and your "husbands package" are one in the same. they are all a part of the entire picture, so yes, all necessary paperwork will stay together and ottawa will be able to determine if what you provided is significant enough. if not, they will ask for more proof of plans to settle.

i know it's difficult, but stop analyzing every aspect of your application. you can't assume anything about anything. after i sent in my package i noticed many typos, some missing answers and other "no-no's" according to this forum. None of the "issues" ever came up in my process, so stop assuming something is a problem when it might not even be a problem. as long as the information was provided, it's truthful, clear and makes sense, then your application will be ok.

CIC will contact you if anything is needed.

Rhcohen, you're like a xanax I'm in need of, thank you! I'm over guessing everything....

But, I have another question for you. This form http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/pdf/PC_LetterA_e.pdf Does that need to be included with the FBI package when I send in for the police report?

no, never seen that before.

if you followed the directions on the fbi site for submitting a request, then that's all you needed to do.

if you received your record, and submitted it with your package, that is all you needed to do.

There is absolutely no need for you to be on the CIC website right now. you've submitted your application. remind yourself you did the best you could with what you had/knew at the time you sent in your application. you have no control over anything at this point right now. let it go. STOP "RESEARCHING" AND WALK AWAY!

My husband is going to be fingerprinted Tuesday and then I'm overnighting to the FBI. The current wait is 12 weeks. So we're submitting the applications without the FBI letter. That will have to follow once it arrives.

Package is down. I've only been working on it and finalizing it for the past 5hrs (and I started it months ago!) I'm walking away, it's shower time!

It's not officially being mailed until the 27th, the day of their immigration physicals...... I will resist refining it more and more for the next 8 days. I think I can, I think I can..... ;D
