Proof of intent to Immigrate

My wife is sponsoring me for permanent residence. We live in the U.S..
Due to waiting times for Approval of Rehabilitation, we have no hard plans
yet as far as Housing, Work, etc. Will buying a small homesite w/o a home
on it be sufficiant proof for CIC ?
