Hi everyone! I am new to this forum.
Would like to know if I need to attach the bank certificate with the application forms immediately or do I just fill out the personal net worth page and the application is good for sending?

Please post a reply.

Many thanks!

If it is for Federal Skilled Worker Category 1 you need to supply at least 3 months worth of bank statements with your initial application to CIO. 6 month is better, but proof of funding is definitely required at the initial stage.

Best of luck with your application.

Hi Wayne,

I was wondering if you know about cases that sent online bank statements. One of my account bank statements were original but I didnt have original bank statements for my other account and I decided to print out "one year" of the online ones.

Even though CIO doesnt explain that kind of bank statements they need, maybe you have heard of some rejections because of that.

Thanks

Hmmm, I haven't heard of rejections specificially for online statements printed on a home computer, but then I also haven't heard of many people trying online statements.

It is very easy to simply save a web page as HTML and edit the contents and then print it, so funding fraud could become common if this were allowed. Other documents such as educational documents and work references all have to be originals or notarized copies, so I can't see them allowed unnotarized documents printed from your home computer as proof of funds.

So I would definitely not risk it and ask the bank for statements on headed paper - the bank should be able to re-send statements for an entire year if you ask.

Best of luck,
Wayne.

if online statement contains all the info like bank phone no.,fax no.,email and contain header and footer is same as letterhead as if you are taking the print out on bank letter head then it should be fine, because my online bank statement is same as if I have taken the statement on bank letterhead.

Thank you dear

We sent a mix of statements. One (Major one approx 13,000+CAD) was a Bank Statement for the past 5 months. And other one was Online Print out for the remaining CADs. We attached the Bank/Branch contact details and its location etc printed from the website of the same Banks. It was accepted.

I will not recommend a Bank letter that only shows total amount, and no transactions or savings over the year. Reason being they want to know that the money is YOURS. And if you are avoiding Bank Statement, they might think you are hiding something, like borrowed money and large amount at one time. Off course if you had some assets that you disposed off, then you can attach statement with proof, as to where u got the funds from.

Remember all the advices are personal experience, some will work others wont. And sometimes you will get through with something else. All comes down to each individual case.

I'd like to ask again - why do you want to only include the total amount, and omit the statements?

Because I will borrow the money :) But if later on the visa office asked me to submit a statement, my own money will be back as am investing at the moment :)

I don't think it's a problem to submit a bank certificate since it's mentioned in the checklist. let's see what will happen :)

Be warned this is illegal.
