correct Devil, but some VO not accept GOLD as POF, yes he/she can deposite cash on own account and show that he/she was purchased gold, and sold it becasue to maintain POF, he/she can write either that he/she was not aware about submit POF again when asked by VO for latest POF.
many ways to do but POF is must upto landing, you can use once you get visa but when you land at Canada POE must have enough required fund. it's tough to maintain POf in asian countries but immigration to canada will change your family future and life.

OMM

No Not send Gold as POF. But sell and deposit money and attach letter of explanation with receipts.

Yeah agreed POF is a Bi*** :) as it has to sleep for such a long time, think about pre 2010 applicants, as we are also 2006 applicants...Grrrr!!!!!!!!

Hello

Plese reply asap.

Hi. Prior to applying the money doesn't have to have been your account for a specific length of time. However, IT MUST BELONG TO YOU. I cannot be borrowed.

It is generally advisable to include 6 to 12 months statements with your proof of funding. The amount does not have to be in your account for that entire previous time, but CIC want to see if any large deposits have been made, and these will have to be explained. Any large deposits from sale of assets such as sale of property are fine, just provide receipts and details of the sale.

Once you have applied, you need to keep the funds in your account for the entire time of your visa application, since visa office can ask to see proof of funds and extra bank statements at any time. If you do need to access the funds best advice is to spend no more than 10% of it and ensure it can be easily replenished if needed withing 30 days or so.

Best of luck.
Wayne.
