Hi all, I'm currently in a dilemma concerning my proof of funds. I was residing in the UK for 18 months and only returned to my home country in March, the money I want to use as my proof of funds for Canada is in my UK bank account and on calling my bank, they said I have to be physically present in the UK to be issued a letter. Will IRCC accept a letter of explanation and my UK bank statement of at least 10 months to 1 year to show that I have had the required funds for over 6 months? I have an option of sending the money back to my home country by exchanging pounds to my countries currency using a BDC and having my home country bank issue me the letter, in this case, if I submit my UK bank statements and also my home country bank statements as well as a letter of explanation, will that be okay? I don't want to do a direct transfer of funds because the bank charges are outrageous.
