Dear friends,

I have submitted the application for permanent residency. I have submitted the letter from my bank where i hold a savings account with the required proof of funds. I would like to convert that amount from savings to fixed deposit s as to get more interest. How can this be done after the application submission. Please help with your valuable comments.

I don't see a problem with that, as long as the funds remain under your name and are not blocked (meaning they cannot be liquidated anytime)

Hi,
Could you tell me how old can the bank statements and account opening letter be?
I will get them by 4th Nov and planning to submit my profile by end of November. Will that be fine?

I would suggest your your PoF letter to be the last document you get. the point is if they will not be satisfied they will ask for a new one on a latter phase, delaying your process. so in your case it should be fine, but see if you can postpone it for a week or two (at max) before you submit

Thanks.. I was checking at CIC, couldn't get any info regarding the date on bank documents.
I am in the collection phase of my documents so don't want to delay

Yes, that should be fine. Ideally, it should be after your ITA date.
