My wife is primary applicant and we have got the ITA.
Can I show my Provident fund as proof of funds as she is not having much fund to declare.
We need to show around 19000 CAD which alone can be shown by my Provident fund.

Dear All,
I would like some advise on my situation for POF.
1.I am the primary applicant and my spouse will be accompanying me.
2. My wife holds a SB account since 2001 which we have converted into Join account in January this year.
3. We do not hold sufficient balance in the account for 6 months.
4. We have sold some of our assets to generate the required amount.(We cannot provide proof for this as it was jointly held by multiple family members)
5. All the money we generated will be deposited to my father-in-law account.
6. Father-in-law will be providing us the amount and gift deed to my spouse.
7. the money will be transferred to the joint account held by me and my spouse.

Is my situation acceptable?
I intend to have the money deposited today and I am likely to receive ITA in the next draw as my CRS score is 476.

Thanks in advance,

if you get a direct ITA, then 6 months of avg is not mandatory. You can disclose one-month avg at around 1900 CAD and get a certificate from bank letterhead. that's it.

Hi All,

How are you doing?

I also have received my ITA and in process of document collection. My question is regarding PoF, I am planning to use PF fund (India) and this will fulfill for majority of fund required for settlement.

Anybody planning to use PF as there PoF, since I had used it for ONIP. They had accepted it.

How do CIC treat PF fund, I am sure they would also accept PF fund for INDIA. Since for working class PF fund is one of the main saving.

One of my friend had used it, CIC had accepted it. However it was couple years back.

Any views are welcome.

Hi Anand,
PF as PoF can be accepted provided you have sufficient documentation and letter from PFO stating the withdrawal amount and canadian equivalency. I have read this was accepted in the same forum.
