Hello! My husband and I have been taking up a lot of freelance work this past months towards increasing our joint account which we will submit to CIC as proof of funds. The deposits will average between 600-1000 (could be twice a month, or more or less) My question is what amounts will CIC question? Should we start keeping the invoices with us to submit as proof? Or is it considered a negligible amount?

CIC don't mind about a build up of funds over several months.

If your 6 month 'starting' balance was around 75% of the LICO, then I don't think this will need explaining. If you started with 0% and you've built it all up in 6 months then maybe considering demonstrating 'proof'.

No we opened the account over a year ago planning for this year's immigration and increased it monthly. The build-up was slow over that time (200-300$ a month) but now the buildup might go up faster that's all. So shouldn't be a problem.
