Thnx

i was told that the money to show the embassy shd be in your savings account, but do further checks.

You deposit account or savings account? What about current account? Pls clarify.

Thnx for responding guys. Here is what I plan to do. I am gonna pay one yr tuition and show the receipt. I will also show bank statement with about 5,900 CAD (cash) and a pension statement with about 6,000+ CAD payable to me immediately upon leaving the company for which i currently work.

This is not a good decision pls. It is mandatory u hold $10,000 + your tuition (at least a year tuition) should be the minimum in ur account. If u fail this u are already creating easy room for rejection. Think about this.

Correct.

dont pay to college in advance , show in your bank

He may pay to college and college will give him a confirmation letter about payment. However, even if you should show only funds for tuition and living expenses for the first year, if your program is for 2 years or more you have to show reliable source of further funding.

Please guys, please advise. My school fees is 12,000 CAD (the program is 1yr), I plan to pay 3,000 CAD Now and show my fixed deposit statement showing 21,000CAD in my name plus my Dads bank statement as a sponsor showing 50,000CAD. Please advise on my chances of visa

The duration of the program is only one year. Therefore, my savings combined with my pension immediately available to me upon leaving my job, will be enough to fund me for the one year. What chance do you think I have in getting a study permit? I am in my twenties, I am married, I have ties such as a car, other family members etc
We have told u what is good for u. Get the minimum amount in ur bank deposit and not expected pension. Canada want to see proof of fund in raw cash in ur name. Follow the thread above. You may still want to proceed in ur current position, that will practical academic exrcise for us here for future experience.

Good news guys!!! The embassy accepted the pension statement as form of proof of funds. Visa was also awarded. Will be arriving in Canada sometime in December 2014.

Hi Mun909,

I'm in a similar situation as you were. I will cash out my pension when I resign. Please assist with telling me what documents you provided other than the proof of tuition payment. My pension document shows how much I will receive. Did you explain anything in writing? Thanks for your help.
