Hi all. On the simplified application, there s a field where they ask for funds available. It is usually what they request proof of it later on. In my case, I will have to have $ 16,225.00 for three people. I already have the $ 16,225.00 now. However, I will definitely have a little more by the time they request proof of it. Should I list now the $ 16,225.00 on the application or should I list something like $ 18,000.00 that might help on the application? I am afraid that they might change this requirement fund amount.

Thanks.

They will not change the requirement fund amount between the time you apply and the time you are processed. Just write what you have. If you have more when they ask for updated documents, you can write more and send proof of it.

Since the application time varies, no one can guarantee what funds you will have by the time your application will be decided. You can put $40,000 and when they ask you for Bank Statement, you may have only 18,000 because you had an emergency and you spent, if this ($18000) satisfies the requirement for your application then you will qualify. As long as you have the funds to satisfy the requirement. (Remember all funds are in Canadian $$)

I agree with Leon, that put what you have and if you have more at the end of process, then it is more good....

Thanks,
