Hi members,
in proof of funds - can the dependent spouse of the principal applicant show the entire proof of funds - ie all the funds needed to show for pof can be in his account only- will this be ok, accepted ?
members please help.

My opinion is it should be fine as funds can be in name of partner included in application

A good situation would be to have some funds in Principal applicants name as well, if possible try to move some funds to your partner's name

I think it's totally fine; let's wait for seniors to comment on this

thanks, yeah lets wait......

My information says (obtained from Canadian immigration laywer) POF has to in principal applicant's bank account or a joint account in principal applicant and his/her spouse's bank account. POF in spouse's account is not accepted.

Hi Uncertain,

I am going to submit my fulldocs to ND CHC in coupleof weeks. I am showing POF in my wife's bank account. We were using her account to hold our savings. There is no single withdrawal but only deposits (from both of us).

Will this will be a problem?

Thanks

Just want to add that I am principal account and her account is not a joint account.

My understanding from everything I have read is that proof of funds in spouse's bank account is acceptable if the spouse is accompanying the principal applicant to Canada. It is only unacceptable if the spouse is not going.
