I'll be filing for my EE application next month. I'm a single applicant and have some confusions about proof of funds --

1. How old does these funds has to be as I'm planning to start filing next month? Till now I don't have enough money in my bank a/c and I'm planning to get it transferred from my mother's individual a/c.

2. My mother will be gifting me all the money required to show as proof of funds. What kind of documents or Letter of Explanation do I have to show/submit to Canadian High Commission to prove that she gifted me this money and has no problem if I don't return it. Is an application by her on a plain A4 size white paper explaining this & getting it notarized enough? Is there some kind of form for this particular issue?

3. What document do I've to get from bank which proves my PoF? Is it an application on bank's letterhead or some kind of form?

4. Will CHC ask for my mother's bank account's 6 months old statements? I'm asking this bcoz my mother will also be borrowing some money from some of our relatives.

5. Why do I have to show my 6months old bank statements? Do I've to show average balance in last 6 months in this statement?

There are quite a number of threads on this forum where you can find answer to all above questions. But anyways here goes

1. 6 months old on average
2. You need a gift deed. A gift deed on a simple plain paper will do.
3. You need letter on bank letter head. There is no specific format. Banks may have their own formats. Contents of letter are described on IRCC webiste.
4. Not sure but I haven't seen any case where this has been asked.
5. Why? Because IRCC wants to look at it that's why.

Point 1 is where the problem is waiting for me. I don't have any money in my account at the moment. But I can arrange atleast 80% of the funds within 2 weeks & rest within next 2 weeks and then can get it deposited into my a/c.

Within a month I will apply for EE. I'm done with almost everything ECA, IELTS.

Do you think this will be an issue as my funds will only be a month old?? What can be the solution?

by the time you get ITA you'll have 60 days to send your documents. without even knowing what your result will be, it might be a while before you submit a bank statement. considering t's a gift deed it's fine since your statement should show account opening date
