Hi everyone! Just need some advice. My husband is in Canada holding a temporary working visa- low skilled for 2 yrs. Me and my daughter (5mos old) would like to join him soon in Canada. We are advised by our agency to have proof of funds (4,000) when we apply for our TRV, problem is we dont have that amount for now. Will it affectmy application if we don't include bank statement or any proof of funds? By the way, just some background, I was in london for the past two years to study and my daughter was born there last jan 2013, we went home in the philippines last april while my husband went straight to canada. Do you think I will convince the immigration officer that we will leave canada as soon as the contract is finish? Any response is highly appreciated. Thanks!

It's pretty important to include proof of funds. I think it will be difficult to be approved without proof of funds.

Thank you so much for your response.. How about my reason for going back to my country, I will tell them that i need to continue my study (in my country) next yr or couple of yrs since I didnt finish my course in U.K because i got pregnant and had a child that time? I dont have job or any properties. Do you think my reasons are enough to satisfy the immigration officer?

I don't think these are very strong ties unfortunately.

You can continue your studies anywhere.

To show ties, you really need to have property, bank accounts or other assets in your home country.

By all means go ahead and apply. However I think it may be difficult for you to convince CIC that you have no plans to remain in Canada long term.
