Proof of Funds Enquiry

Hello everyone, I'd like to ask how much should one really show as proof of funds?
I'm applying as a family of 2, and the minimum funds required for that is $16,135, would it be okay to present my accounts and investments with funds totalling $18,000? or do i need to have way above $16,135? I have noticed many people who talk about proof of funds here usually have way above their minimum

The minimum is the minimum. There is very little subjectivity in the process. If the number is acceptable, the application moves on.
