Dears,

I have sent all my documents including the proof of funds, I have the 6months of statement with me but now I have taken out the money from my bank account.

What I need to know is that do they require me to show them the prrof of funds yet again ? How frequently do they ask again to proof them the funds ?

I have recently received my 2nd AOR and most likely my case is passing from background checks etc.

Regards,

CHC can always ask for an update over any matter. Funds are one of the key requirement. Now a days, few many applicant were required to submit updates on liquidity.

U may withdraw money from account but it is better to keep it re-filling timely in order to maintain the required balance.

In order to understand clearly on the issue, visit the below link;

Hi , at least maintain 70-80 % of your funds in the bank a/c. And yes chances are always there from CHC to ask for an updated bank statement.

Cheers..

Hi nonee,

Congratulations for your 2nd AOR which is pretty recent (June 2011)...this is an indication that Pre June (2010) files are moving. But as you already know that the processing of pre 26 June files unfortunately are not a priority for CIC at present.

You may have have sometime to replenish your fund status. It is very likely that you may be requested for bank statements again at a later stage when you go In Process status and the current Fund status request may come along with your Med as well.

Thankyou for the replies,

Mitali, the delay is too much for the pre-june applications...

I have disperssed the money i had in my account but i have 6months of statement till the month of June 2011, if they ask me for the statement in lets say december 2011, can i send them the statement upto the June-2011, OR what is the other choice, can anyone confirm me ????????

If required in Dec 2011 for 6 months...this means the statement period should be from July 2011 to Dec 2011

Try to understand the logic of proof of funds, they just dont need the statement just for the sake of having few months statement of any period, they need to see how much funds you have currently.

Actually, the usually want to see up to 6 months bank statement so they can see the history of the funds. They do not ask that they entire amount has been there for that time, clearly what's relevant is that the money is available now. If the applicant has been gradually saving up these funds prior to applying then it's fine.

However, they also want to be convinced that this money belongs to the applicant and that they have not just borrowed the money, and that is the main purpose of providing statements and not just the balance.

I applied to CIO in October 2009 and submitted full documents to CHC Islamabad in January 2010. I have been maintaining my funds for almost 2 years which is about PKR 3 million for one person. i was maintaining my funds in current account. due to inflation my money was depreciating day by day. so in march 2011 instead of having funds in current account I invested my funds in some mutual funds schemes and stocks to gain some return on my investment. if visa officer required updated proof of funds i will show my new form of funds. both form of funds are acceptable by CHC.

My point of view is that you should have track record of your funds that it belongs to you. it could in any form.

Exactly. It is the history of the funds which CIC are interested in.

They want to be convinced of 3 things
1) That the money belongs to you
2) That the level of funding is sufficient
3) That it will be available and unencumbered by debt why you move to Canada

As long as the documentation sent convinces them of this, it is fine.
