[Proof of funds] bank account and spouse

Hello,

Me and my wife don't have a joint account but I have enough funds on one of my saving accounts.
I was wondering if I need to ask my bank to give my wife access to this account. I am almost sure my bank will tell me to create a new joint account and that will complicate things for the immigration officer (the transaction history will be deleted). Has anybody been in that situation? What should I do?

Maybe I am freaking out for no reason. It seems like the joint account is not needed (just an alternative) and a bank account in my name only (I'm the principal applicant) is enough.
I was just wondering if I need to prove that my wife has access to this account? Or is it useless?

I was worrying about the same think. Seems like we dont need to show joint account if we show an account on PA`s name. But if someone apply on this topic I will be happy also.
