Proof of Fund & point for education

Hello Friends

I have 2 questions-

I am planning to apply from Buffolo next August after I complete 1 years as legal F-1 status

Q:1- I need around 15,000 $ for supporting fund for me and my wife (No kids)
But I don`t have such amount in my US Bank
I can loan from my friend for 2-3 months,
I guess I have to send 3 months statement
But I need to know- will they ask for any other statement thereafter?
And If Immigration officer ask the source of my money, is it ok if i tell them about taking loan?
Or Can I show my bank account of my country in accordance with my US bank?

Q:2- Plz figure out my educational point ( I am confused)
Secondary level - 10 years
Higher Secondary- 2 years
Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery (MBBS) - 5 years

Total = 17 years

Though I am studying Masters In USA, But it will be completed on Fall 2009
Anyway, can I get advantage with my ongoing Masters course?

1. The money has to be yours and they will probably check before issuing the visa and when you "land"
2. Your Masters will not be counted as it is not complete, so you have 1 degree worth 20 points

So, what about if I use a bank account in my home country along with a account of US Bank?
Can any one please let me know?
