I showed $20000 as fund. is that enuf? I am never married. Now waitin for CIO's AOR.
This is what I have now as fixed deposit in my bank
I got houses worth $400,000. Do you all think I should have added that amount with that Cash in my bank? Can I show it later after evaluating it by law farm to Visa office and explain them why I couldnt add this in my CIO's application?

Re: Proof of Fund - houses??

What is ur visa office brother???

Re: Proof of Fund - houses??

Singapore !

if your house is still in mortgage you cannot use it as proof of fund bec it is not yet fully paid.

Hi, Is it possible then to use land title in addition to $ in the bank as proof of funds?

No, only unencumbered funds

PMM

since you already meet the required fund for never married status I think you dont need to add more asset...

am I correct?!? or any advantage of adding more investments..money etc?!? :)

PMM and all. There has been a mixed concept about showing the unencumbered funds. Some says London office accepts lands, properties and some says Singapore office dont.

My Knowledge from studying the cic guidelines and analyzing the forums indicates following precedence in accepting unencumbered funds:

Liquid Money ( Current Balance, Fixed Deposit which you can cash anytime), Savings, Traveller's Cheques

Still not sure about houses, properties, lands etc.

"Still not sure about houses, properties, lands etc. " They are not unencumbered funds, the settlement fund is what CIC/CHC requires so you can live for your first 6 months in Canada. You can't buy groceries or pay the rent with the value of a piece of land in Singapore or any other country.
