I am a college student planning to visit Canada on a visitor visa to attend a conference. As a student, I don't really have an income and most of my financial support comes from my parents.
The issue is, I am an international student in the US and thus is not living on the same country as my parents, and will be applying for the visa in the US. Is it possible to use their financial statements in a foreign country as my proof of financial support to visit Canada?
If not, what are other ways in which I can prove financial support?
Also typically, what would be the minimum funds required for an adequate proof of financial support to visit Canada for about a week?
