Hello, so I'm applying for a visitor Visa for Canada to visit my uncle and cousins who live there but in order to apply for it I need to provide my proof of financial resource so here is my situation I was wondering if it was valid: I'm 18 but I don't provide for myself, my mom and I don't have the resources for the trip but my dad lives in Ecuador and his wife does have the financial resource and she could transfer money to my uncle, could that work? Since I'm not related to her by blood I'm not sure and the reason because my dad can't be the oneone provide it it's because he stays at home and takes care of my brothers while she goes to work.

I would appreciate some help, thanks!

Who is paying for your trip? That's part of the answer to this question. You need them to provide a letter saying they're paying your expenses, and provide proof of income from them. Transferring money through three or four different people will make everything complicated.

My uncle wanted to pay for the trip but people were telling me that's not advisable, so the only other person who could afford it is my stepmother since she has a bank account in dollars and she would be able to do money transfers.

So is that possible? I'm not sure since she is not related to me by blood but she is legally married to my dad.
