Do you have to print out copies of the actual emails? or just a print out of the inbox that shows how many emails have been sent?
If its every email that will be a lot of printing...

It's a personal choice, so it's up to you, but no immigration officer wants to read 3000 individual e-mails. We printed the list of e-mails between us and selected a few over the duration of our relationship so the officer could see what kind of stuff we e-mail.

Ok that does make sense!! what about Facebook messages, did you do the same? only send a few?

I'd just do a few; spread them evenly over the total time you spent talking on Facebook. If you've been talking on Facebook for a couple of months, or even years, pick some examples from each month and send them. If you've been talking on Facebook for a year, for example, sending 12 extracts, one from each month, proves how long you've been talking to your partner on it without bogging down the application unnecessarily.

That's what I did anyway, you can send them your entire chat history if you'd like, but if it's long it's likely to increase the time they have to look at your application!

If you want to show emails i would say a bit of both. Show the screen shot of inbox that shows just the quantity of tons or emails going back and forth... but also choose a few random ones to print out from various dates, with content that would add proof to your relationship.

This is exactly what I did!
