Hello everyone,
I am putting together the documents needed for applying for PRTD for my wife claiming residence time as accompanying spouse to a Canadian citizen. I am currently in Germany. For my wife's address proof, we have city registration and other documents in Germany. For my own proof of residence, my stay was split between Germany and Canada over the past five years. For Germany, I have lots of proof. However, for Canada, this is what I have:
1. Quebec driver's license with address.
2. Notice of Assessment for the tax year 2018 and 2019. In the year 2018, the address on the Notice of Assessment is the residential address. For 2019, the address is of a friend of mine as I had already left Canada and he received my NOA letter. Will this make the 2019 NOA not useful as proof of residence?
If the above are not sufficient, I could ask my landlord for a letter stating that I was living in that apartment between the exact dates for which I am stating that I was in Canada. Would this be necessary just to be on the safe side?
Thanks in advance.
