Hi all,

I applied to CIC in July and my CRS score was 449 initially. Then I had to made French my first language in order to receive a PT from Ontario. As a result, my score dropped to 366 and I received a notification of interest from Ontario for the French Speaking Stream in September. I applied in October and received AOR yesterday.

Since the waiting time for OINP applications is very long and may take until the end of next year to receive the official invitation to apply, I was thinking of changing my first language back to English to increase my CRS score. The reason is that I believe that CRS scores in the coming rounds will drop to 450 or even below, since the 600 points awarded to people with job offers have been reduced to 50-200 points. This will result in a significant decrease in the average CRS scores in the pool, which will make my 449 score a competitive one in the coming rounds.

My question is: If I change my profile, would that cancel my application with Ontario?

Thank you for your help!

You have received EOI from OINP based on your French language and application is in progress, you cannot make changes and even if you do, it is misrepresentation.

Score is not going to reduce below 450 anytime in near future so you are well off with PNP.
