Hey,
I renewed my passport and at the time of renewal I was asked what my profession was, to which I said I'm a student. The officer asked me what I was studying and said biomedical engineering. Then he said that since I have only two years to graduate and the passport will have a 10 year validity, then they will write my profession as "biomedical engineer" on the passport. I didn't see this as a big deal, and said yes.

The thing is my graduation will be next year and I intent to visit Canada this summer. Will it cause any problem's to my application?

Thanks,
Lasyuka.

No, CIC doesn't care what the profession of visitors is, unless it is terrorist.
