We have been accepted and approved for Spousal Family Sponsorship. My Husband lives in Ghana and I understand the file has been sent there. He has not recieved anything from Accra as yet requesting him for his Medical Exam or to do his Biometrics. How long does it take from Canadian Immigration Aproval to process the paperwork in Accra and get him on that plane here in Canada to start Our new life?

Totalt processing time for 80% of the applications is 12 months. I’m assuming you were approved as a sponsor and file was transferred; those are 2 steps that are part of the process.
Accra will request medical and biometrics, check for eligibility of the PA and request for a background check to be completed. All of this also depends on the workload of the visa office.

Background checks and security checks take time to process.
The 12 months is how long you should expect it to take from the time you first mailed in the application.

Thank you to everyone who answered my query. The Application to Canadian Immigration for Family Spousal Sponsorship was sent in October 2018. Acceptance was February 2019. So I can expect my Husband on the plane to Canada by October 2019....depending on Accra's workload.
