Greetings, I am wondering about the opinion\experience of others regarding the processing times.
We have mailed our entire spouse sponsorship application package(outland) to Mississauga in February 2015 and they have received the whole thing on Feb 24th.
So far we haven't received or heard anything back, no AOR, nothing. CIC website says they are processing applications that have arrived in our time frame, but online cic tool can not find any information regarding our application. The only thing we can go by is receipt number(payed for the whole application upfront, all fees).
We have tried calling them around 10 times unsuccessfully, high volume of calls and then it hangs up on you.

Is this bad? :-X

Give it a week or two, if not official letter, contact the call centre for some updates just because they say they are working on apps received on a certain date, there could be a backlog due to the number of apps they receive.

Just be patience. You will receive something in next week or so. They are currently processing the files "Working on applications received on February 19, 2015".

Thanks for your responses, it does indeed say that, but the page was updated on: Last update: April 14, 2015
So I guess on April 14th they were processing applications received on February 19th? Today is 24th...

Whoa, I can see a funny word in your nickname :)

What time did you try to call CIC? I got the same message when I called later in the day. However, when I called them super early in the morning (7 - 8 am Toronto time), I got through within 6 minutes.

Our situation was kind of the same: app recieved on Feb 13th, no AOR, no word until April 23. I was so stressed.
Finally after I reached CIC by phone, they told me they started working on it on April 7th.

You may also ask for file # and UCI, if they have it already. Then you will be able to see your stats. It's not going to work with your receipt #.

Good luck!

I know it's hard to do, but be patient. They move at their own pace, unfortunately.

Спасибо Mona ;D!
We will try that, I am just worried that somehow our application could have ended up in a different queue, like inland....
They all sent to the same address.

Не за что! :) Hope it helps you guys!

I know it's really difficult, but try to keep positive thinking. This is truly a waiting game in the dark.
This forum is a great help, but sometimes seeing how fast others go provides food for all kinds of bad ideas.
CIC gets over 3000 apps per month, some of them go smoothly and quickly, some get stuck and take a bit more time.
Call CIC, get your info, if you can, and just let them take care of you.

Stay in touch and keep us posted!

Call the call centre around 9PM central time. I got through within 5 minutes.

You guys are all better then me im Feb 6 and I'm not even showing in the system so I re did it all cause they think it got lost at the building even though some one signed for it

The "last update" date and the information given don't match up. The information shown is from a week later, on April 21 and the site was actually last updated on April 23 with information from April 21.

Next week, once they posted information has passed your sent date, then you can actually get someone to do something about it.

You are slower than many, but not actually beyond the average wait period for 2015.

BTW, I noticed you weren't on the tracking spreadsheet. if you scroll to the bottom (row 130ish) you can add yourself, if you want to.

Now this is scary, how possibly can the package get lost. Ours has everything in it...(with all fees paid in full) it would be a nightmare to start over :-X

Thanks, I will go ahead and do that.
I am just wondering how is it possible for a lot people to receive AORs with applications that were sent weeks after ours, do some get processed outside the queue, and CIC status page "Working on applications received on ... " does not really mean anything?
