Processing Time is much more than the Estimation Gives

I applied Canada temporary visitor visa online on Oct 10 in the United States. The estimation website (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...vices/application/check-processing-times.html) shows the average time is 8 days, but the process time is 14 days and it still doesn't have any update.

The status is always,

We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.

I need to attend a conference on 11/15 for a week in Canada. Is there any way to expedite it? I have sent a few emails to question@cic.gc.ca and CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca. Both of them don't provide any response.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

As stated on CIC website
This processing time tells you how long it took us to process most complete applications, in the past.
Your processing time may vary depending on how many applications received.

There's no way to expedite a decision. You have nearly three weeks to go before your conference.

You can send a IRCC web form to your local US visa office i.e. either NY/LA, not CPC-Ottawa to request for an early decision
