Processing time changed

Hey guys have the seen the new processing time. They ask you now from where you are applying and the processing times they show are i guess not soo accurate..i think they don't mean anything.what u guys think?

This is the way the processing times were displayed a few months ago before they changed it to be an average of all visa offices. This is still the time it takes to process 80% of applications even though it's now country specific again.

Use the spreadsheets and threads on here to get a better idea of how long an application from your specific VO should take.

yeah but for the pakistani applicants the applications are being processed in london and now if we select pakistan it shows 28 months and if UK it shows 14 month. now what should we go for? pakistan or UK?

I sure hope it's inaccurate as went from 17 months to 26 for us

It does make more sense to show processing times by country though because it does vary so much. The 17 months was a huge overstatement for most and likely upset a lot of people.

From what I've seen from the 2015 Outland spreadsheet and the one you have in your signature, both the London and Pakistan visa offices would process your application in around the same amount of time. Hopefully, someone can chime in with personal experience from the London VO, since I haven't been able to find a thread for that visa office on here.

Either way, if you have a straight forward application you should be looking at having your application processed in under a year.

Every time the CIC changes the processing times (or at least how we view them) it worries people that the application times have increased. The best way to tell when your application could be done is to browse spreadsheets and threads on here still (I know I already mentioned that, but it's important).

Even though it's still inaccurate, I'm glad they changed the way we view processing times back to being visa office specific. Having one time shown for all offices confused a lot of people and some were even under the impression that all applications would be processed in the same place. I wonder why if this is why they changed it back.

Where are you guys seeing this information changed? I still see the old processing times...the generic one for all places which is 17 months!

When I loaded the website to check the processing times I was prompted with a third selection that asks where I am from. Selecting that gave me the country specific processing time.

What I don't understand is how different countries processed through Singapore VO have different lengths of time for processing. My wife's country, Indonesia, remains unchanged at 17 months, but Singapore is 13 months, Vietnam 24 months, Thailand 29 months etc. How can one visa office have varying processing times of a year in some cases when they are processing all of these applications together.. Doesn't make sense.

That's strange. They changed the way they show the processing time by country, but they wrote the last update was April 18th... Before we had data updated on April 25th. ???
