I have an Experience class application almost ready to send.

I am Australian and living in Canada, what are my options for this question please??

Generic Application for question 4.(Immigration Office requested for processing this application) ???

All CEC applications are processed in Ottawa no matter where you're from or living.

All the CEC file have to be mailed to Sydney, Nova Scotia. You have choice to choose your a Visa Office in your home country or one in Canada. if u are moving back to your home country within a year, then you should choose a Visa Office in your home country.

Incorrect.
All CEC applications are processed in Ottawa, no one chooses where it's processed.
Applications are sent originally to NS, this part is true.

I second that. But it is possible to get landing visa stamped in your home country as cic will not post passport outside North America.

This above statement is correct other than SHOULD !!!
You need to send your application to Nova Scotia but you can keep either CPP-Ottawa or your home country VISA office.
I kept the same in my application and it is accepted.
If you are still having concerns and want to go with CPP-O then also it is fine and once they ask to send your passport you can request them for stamping to nearest VISA office where you stay at that point of time.

The consensus seems to be that you can put either CPC-O or your home visa office, as per the instruction guide, but they will process it at CPC-O anyway. I believe I put Sydney, Australia, on my application form, and I got my AOR, so I guess that was an acceptable thing to put there.
