Hello everyone,

How does sending emails to CIC redard an Application process ? It is always said that applicants should avoid sending emails to the immigration office, for that will cause delay in the application process. Please someone should explain.

Thanks

It means they have to take people away from application processing to answer emails.

Leon,

So, if they leave other pple's files to reply your email how then does it delay your own case.?

Do you know what i think? I just think some of these pple are really lazy or negligent. If not how would you explain the fact that , they will return someone's passport back to him with no explainatory letter. I have a friend whose passport was sent back to him with no accompanying letter to explain the return. He was afraid to write back to the Embassy for fear of delaying his case, since it is said, Applicants should avoid writting emails to them.

How would you also explain the fact that. You send documents to them and they don't change your status online on receipt of your documents ? This happened to me, when my medicals and passpots were sent to them, they did not indicate the receipt of those, i wrote a letter to them and that same day they changed the staus online. It is just as if the person who was responsible to do that, just relaxed in his office,(probably taking a cup of coffe) and when he stumbled on the mail, he sighed "uhhhhhhhhhhh !!!!I forgot, let me change this god damned status" and then did it.I just feel that at one point they just want to purnish pple for nothing. I think in an office like that there is someone responsible for receiving and replying emails, and he or she has to do the job, I don't see how that can delay someone's application.Nobody wants his/her application to delay, presently some pple are afraid to even write and inquire or give info to them just coz of this.

Well, thay have our lives into their hands so they can do whatever thing they want to do.

I knew about a Mexican guy who applied in Mexico city, in May last year he was waiting for passport request, he was desperate, he contacted the visa office and they answered asking for his passport...the only detail is that the request letter was dated 2 months before!!....so he was waiting and waiting for nothing!
My lawyer contacted the visa office today, I've been waiting for medicals for the last 6 months....it is just not fair that they make us wait so long, as chinaconnection said, just imagine the officials doing nothing, just talking and drinking coffee, and our files on the documents pile.
I know too that in Caracas visa office there is not a problem to get communication between applicants and visa office, they respond very well, even people go to the embassy to ask and they get answers.
