Process what does that mean

Can anyone have knowledge to tell us when the file in the process, what are the steps for the file are ( in the process)? And is there any time for each step( in the process)? I hope guys you understand me. :-

"In process" generally refers to when your application is opened (from the pile that I imagine is sitting on the floor somewhere in the office) and looked at for the first time. So they send you a notification (usually), read your application, start checking your evidence, request your medicals, check your clearances, etc, etc. I'm not sure what order they do it in, but basically your file has been activated and they are "working on it." The times for each step in the process can vary quite a bit, so there is not really a satisfactory answer I can give for each of the steps.

People in the forum generally celebrate when their file status moves to "in process" as it is an indication that their application is moving along and not sitting around in that pile of untouched applications that I imagined.
