I want to go for RCMP in India - Bangalore. Can any one provide the details around this?
Also, please confirm RCMP is mandatory for everyone?

It is possible to get your fingerprints taken on a regular paper/card form, and have them scanned and submitted electronically - this will really speed things up.

No, it is not mandatory for everyone. It is mandatory when CIC requests it.

CIC automatically conducts name-based RCMP clearances for ALL applicants. But if that does not come back clear, then a fingerprint-based clearance is required. (Means, someone with the same name as you has a criminal record).
