Hi everyone,

I'm new to this board here. I'm visiting my boyfriend here and I've been in Vancouver for almost five months, would like to extend my stay for another six months(hopefully)..

I've gone onto myCIC for the online application but it seems that the pdf form IMM5708E was not able to load - it says:

"To view the full contents of this document, you need a later version of the PDF viewer. You can upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Reader from (adobe link)

For further support, go to (adobe link)"

Problem is I've already updated my Adobe programme but I still can't read this file. The other checklist document pdf loads perfectly fine though (was able to edit on it)..

Is anyone facing the same problem as me? My visitor visa expires June 18th so I would really like to get this done as soon as possible...

Hi,

I have had the same problem. I am not sure if there is a proper way to fix it but I know that if I right click it and save the document, it will show up..and I can still edit it.

Hope that helps.

Use internet explorer

try downloading the form. I had the same problem before once and I think that worked. I don't recall. I did it with Chrome

Exactly. The browser plugin(s) don't always work well with all PDF forms of the CIC. I recommend saving the file (right click -> save link as, or something similar) and trying to open it there. Make sure you try to open it in Adobe Acrobat Reader, and not a third-party PDF reader, because they don't always work well with these secure forms.
