Hello Folks
I have a problem at hand. I sent mine and my husbands fingerprints to FBI and it reached them on 4th Nov 2009. I called them to find out the status and they tell me that they can see my husbands name on their records but they cant see mine. I explained that both of the cards were in the same envelope shipped to them. They tell me that they will take the case to an analyst. I havent heard back from any analyst and am not aware whether they lost my card or not. They also said that some of the applications are taking 12 weeks to complete. I have to hand in my paperwork to CIC by the end of Jan 2010.

What do you think I should do ?

Thanks for your help.

I would suggest immediatly getting a new fingerprint done for yourself.
Send it to FBI with a covering letter referencing the phone conversation and mentioning that the new copy is for ready reference.
ADD A NOTE REQUESTING RESULTS TO BE SENT BY A PARTICULAR DEADLINE STATING REASONS.
You should also send a copy of your earlier letter is available.
Hope this helps

Needless to add it should be sent by some form of recorded delviery (documented mail) so it is not lost a second time

Thanks for your advice. I sent the docs with tracking. When I tracked it - it clearly said that it had been received on 4th Nov. They have the tracking number on my husbands records but they still dont know if they have my fingerprints or not.

I fear that if i send them a second set they will put me at the end of the line again. So another 12 weeks !! But I like your suggestion of putting in a covering letter with all the details of the phone conversations and the deadline.

Thanks again !!
