Problem entering uk passport on application

Hello folks I am pr currently filling out my citizenship application online.

I am a Uk citizen yet when asked to enter my current citizenship/nationality the list of countries doesn’t include UK (instead England/wales etc etc are separately listed) so I cannot accurately enter my passport details as I am technically a British citizen.

any ideas how to solve this?

have tried the search bar to no avail.

I don’t know how much of a help it’ll be, but I was a student in UK for a couple of years, had the student status and enetered it as England in my application. After, I sent an explanation letter, explaining that although I stayed in England, my visa was issued by UK. My eligibility was completed and application hasn’t been returned (so far) so I guess it’s ok? Put it England and then explain it in a Letter of explanation that the UK option is missing from the list.

I was considering doing that but am concerned it may delay or end up in a rejected application.

I am in fact Scottish and lived there for the entire duration of my Uk life, yet it feels somewhat incorrect to list myself as a Scottish citizen with a Scottish passport as neither of those things really exist as such. Submitting a note or supporting document to explain is indeed a great idea though. Thanks!
