Problem at Port of Entry at Canada.

Hello everyone!

Can somebody help me.... I have got the student Visa, which is going to be expired on 28th of March 2013 owing to expiry of my passport.
At the same time my letter of acceptance expired because of non-payment of fee. The college is offering admission in September now.
I've got student visa.... currently not a student of any institute...

will there be problem at the port of entry??????
will i be deported????????
What can be the solution please help???????

1. You have TRV on your PP, not SP. You will get SP at port on showing your LOA + LOI + PP. It's very unlikely to have SP, since it won't be more than the validity of your PP/expiry with in 2 months.

Hi enfield,

does that mean, that he can still enter canada but will not receive his SP? what if he renewed his passport in Canada? is that possible that he can get his SP on a later date?

Entered Canada without problem.... immigration officer was a good person... thank God...
Now got study permit for one year... and enjoying snow...

I called CIC and asked whether i can stay in canada for so many months before my course starts???
They said yes.. you can stay in canada as you are in legal status...
