It depends if the charge was a Summary charge, or an Indictable charge. If it was a Summary conviction, you can apply after your probation period is past. If it was an Indictable charge you're out of luck for 4 years following the end of your probation period.
That being said, keep in mind that the year spent on probation will NOT count towards your residence requirement. You'll have to make sure you meet the physical residence without that year - but the calculator on the IRCC website where you get the application form will help you make sure you've meet the requirement.
