Already recognized as a refugee by UNHCR in Egypt and would want to ask how does one go about securing private sponsorship from Canada and also how long does the process take once one has secured the sponsors?

You really need to know people and have connections in Canada to be able to find private sponsors.

Generally you must have either family or close friends in Canada for private sponsorship to be possible. There are organizations classified as Sponsorship Agreement Holders (SAH) that are authorized to act as sposnors. However based on experiences here, it appears they are already fully committed and not accepting further sponsorships. The process generally takes 2-3 years once the application is submitted.
