When did you get your approval?

Hello family,

We completed our interview 7 months ago, on October 2024 including the medical examination and full vaccinations in February 2025. Two days after the interview, we received a pre-arrival letter. Additionally, our application has been in process for 41 months. We are currently in Uganda, and our visa office is in Tanzania.

Is it normal to still not have a decision made regarding our application?

Which informations are you using in order to see your file on ecas (sponsor's info or principal applicant?). Did you start seeing your info on ecas right after receivimg AOR? Or after interview biometrics? I am asking because i received AOR and G number since september last year. They also sent biometrics this july, which i did also. Wondering why can not acces my case via ecas.

To access your information on the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) Electronic Client Application Status (ECAS) system, you typically need to enter specific details related to your application. This often includes:
- Your last name
- Your date of birth
- application number
If you are the principal applicant, you will be using your own details to check the status.
Regarding when you can start seeing your information on ECAS, it varies by case. You might be able to see your information shortly after receiving the Acknowledgment of Receipt (AOR), but sometimes it takes longer for the system to update. In some instances, access might not be available until after you have had an interview
