Hi all -- thanks in advance for the help everyone has provided in this process. You have all been very helpful.

My question relates to prior employment verification after receiving ITA for the FSW (Federal Skilled Worker) program.

CIC asks for a signed letter from the HR officer and/or supervisor of my prior jobs. I have gaps in proof for some items in my work history:

All items relate to jobs outside of Canada. In all cases, my former managers are no longer with the firm and I have lost their contact information.

1) One of my employers from 8 years ago is no longer in operation, thus I am unable to retrieve the information requested.
2) Another (US-based) employer from 9 years ago (USD 4b public company) lacks the records to provide proof, although I have the W2s (tax forms).
3) Finally, the HR department of a more recent US-based prior employer (major multinational) refuses to provide the granularity requested by CIC, only providing verification for employment dates and title.

In sum, I only have full proof per CIC's specifications from my current job (also not based in Canada).

I would love to hear what other people in a similar situation in the FSW process have done. A lot of reference verification services, at least in the US, are provided by third parties so the flexibility is null.

Thank you very much in advance for your input.
