Hello, I am currently on a visitor visa awaiting my approval for Permanent Residence and my work permit and am curious if it’s possible to go to the doctor to be prescribed medication. I’m wanting to get back on one of my prescriptions from the states but am unsure on how to go about it without a family doctor or insurance.

You can look up a walk in clinic and pay to visit a family doctor. Check clinics in your area that accept this. Have all your documentation to prove you are on the medication. Prescriptions aren’t covered in Canada so you pay out of pocket.

Prescription coverage actually varies by province but a visitor would have to pay out of pocket
