Preparing to apply for Quebec residency, few questions

Hello everyone,
I am in the process of preparing and gathering paperwork to hopefully immigrate to Quebec, Canada.
I do have a few questions though,
1. I am married but my wife and her son (from a previous relationship) will not be accompanying me to Canada not now, not in the future. Should they be included in my application?
2. Should they fill out any forms in this situation, if yes which one?
3. Would 401K statements suffice for proof of financial self-sufficiency?
I am sure I'll have more questions along the way but this is it for now.
I'd appreciate very much your input and would like to thank everyone in advance for their time.

2. yes, check http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca for your country of residence and then the requirements.

the concern i have with Quebec immigration system is that I am not sure how they will evaluate my degree as their online evaluation system is not comprehensive in terms of degrees.

I studied "Electronics & Computer Engineering"

Now on the online evaluation, I qualify if I select "- Computer Science and Digital Systems Technology (DCS - 3 years)" which it is but it also falls under "Electronics Technology(DCS - 3 years)" (I dont qualify under this).

So how do I know how case worker will interprete the rules?
