Hello everyone,

Hope everyone is fine. I thought of submitting a thread to get a few clarifications from my side before I sign up with an Immigration consultant. I shall start with some of my details, hoping that some one can steer me into the right direction.

Age : 25
Nationality : Indian
Consultant : Zaria Chase and Associates
Place of application: Kingdom of Bahrain
IELTS Score : total band : 7.5 (R - 6.5, W - 7, L - 9,S -7.5)
Occupation : IT Specialist
Education : Bachelors in Engineering Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India

Estimated CRS Score is 390

Now I am aware that for my age, education and relocation is the best route. However, I am not in a situation for that huge investment at the moment. Therefore would appreciate it if we can explore other possibilities.

1.) Now one of the main reasons why I am going with a consultant is to ensure that my application is properly filed. I have also heard polarizing views on signing up with consultants on how they rip you off. But they all say that if they submit their profile on our behalf, the chances of success are higher, I feel it hard to understand that. I can also see some individuals applying themselves and getting through. So what is the actual truth here?

2.) This is to all the NRIs in the Gulf, is it true that applications submitted by expats from the Gulf get automatically rejected by the CIC? Please let me know more about this

3.) Finally, what do you guys think is the right program for me with the current details as mentioned above.

With 390, you are not going to get an invitation through Expree Entry. Not sure of any provincial nomination programs because you don’t have a masters and engineering is a licensed profession and you don’t have a job offer. Maybe Alberta when they start offering nominations to those outside the country but look to see if your NOC is eligible.
