I would like to forward my question as I am applying for permanent residency. I am married to a Canadian citizen. We are legally married here in Ethiopia, since I am from Ethiopia. We are preparing to apply, finishing gathering all my documents, all medical exams including the x-ray. I found out that I am 5 weeks pregnant. We are submitting the documents very soon. Will my pregnancy fastens or delays my process? Please help as I am very worried to give birth in the absence of my husband who is living in Calgary, Canada.

Your pregnancy will neither slow down nor speed up the process. It is good you completed your medical and xray earlier. You should expect normal processing times for your application.
