So me and my husband are expecting our first baby I am now 12 weeks I didn't want to tell immigration until now due to previous miscarriage. My question is who and how do we tell immigration about it?

Tell your VO via Case Specific Inquiry if you have passed the first stage. Also, you don't tell them until the baby is born usually. But if you want to tell them before you give birth, then go for it now. If you haven't passed first stage, I'd wait until you HAVE passed first stage.

Congrats! :)

If the child will be born in Canada or Canadian by birth (even outside of Canada), then there is no need to include him/her in the current application. You can let the VO know once it is born (probably send an additional family form), or you can let the VO know (if first stage is passed) already now if you wish, as a "proof" of a genuine relationship.
If the child will not be canadian by birth, he/she will need to be sponsored and added to the current application, so it's especially important to let your VO know.

COngratulations on your pregnancy - wish you a very smooth one!

Thank you so much for your kind words. They have received our application but I guess we wait til the first stage is complete. I guess my reason for asking was because I know that when its time for my medical they will obviously know then. The baby will be Canadian because daddy is Canadians and Im applying in Canada so the plan is to give birth here too. I just wanted to make sure I was doing things right I didn't want to be seen as hiding something I want everything to be done right and as smoothly as possible.

since the baby is canadian, then there is really no need to worry at all - it will not delay your application, apart from the medicals (if you have not done the x-ray because you were pregnant, then of course they will know). If anything - it will serve as extra proofs of your relationship.

What you can do if once it is approved for first stage, depending on your VO you might get an AOR to say that your file has been received. You can then send them information about your pregnancy, your due date, and the fact that you will complete the medicals ( if you were missing one part) at that time and send it to them. Like this, they can have all necessary information.

For now, you can just sit back and relax, and enjoy the pregnancy!
Best of luck,
