I am a Canadian Citizen living in Toronto. I have maintained a long distance relationship with my partner who currently lives in Peru. We are not married, nor have we lived together. Ever since the relationship started I have been traveling to Peru for one to three months at a time to spend time with him. Our plan was always to get married and move to Canada, however that was put on hold until we both felt more economically stable (I just graduated from college). In these three years, we applied to a visitors visa so that he could come visit me in Toronto, but both times it was denied.

I am currently in Peru visiting, scheduled to return to work in Toronto on Sept 18. However, I just found out I'm pregnant. Everything is taking a complete turn for both of us and what we had planned for the future. There isn't enough time for us to get married now as it's takes about two weeks for everything to process and I have to leave in a couple of days. I plan on returning in December to get married and sponsor him, however, I am aware that sponsorships take about a year to process. Is there a way to speed up the process so that he can at least be there when the baby is born? I am due in May.
Another alternative I was thinking about was applying for a visitors visa for him while the sponsorship processes, but I am not sure if this is possible, or if he will be approved. Bottom line is, I want him to be able to come be by my side as soon as possible as I don't want to go through this on my own. What are my alternatives?

There are no fast processing for any PR sponsorship and being pregnant has no bearing on the speed of the process. The only quick way to sponsor your bf is to get married and submit application.

The quickest option you have is have your bf apply for TRV and hopefully get approved. Once approved bf can come and stay with you. In the meantime you can get married while he is in Canada. After that, you can submit PR sponsorship.

If TRV doesn't come through, you have no choice but to get married in Peru and then submit PR papers when you return to Canada.

Have him apply for a TRV. If it's approved, he can come to Canada and you can get married here - then you can sponsor him for PR inland.

If the TRV is refused, you will have to wait until December to get married and will then have to sponsor him outland. In that case it's quite possible he won't be in Canada until after the baby is born.
