Hello,

I am from the UK and have an ITA. I have all documents in place and am ready to submit, however, my girlfriend who is Canadian is 8 months pregnant. We are not considered common law yet, and I started the process before the pregnancy, all being well my application will be successful however I have not declared a child.

The child will be born in the UK and we will apply for both Canadian and GBR passports pretty much immediately.

Should I delay my application and declare the baby?
Should I continue solo?
Any other advice is welcome!

Thank you!

There is no child to declare. The child hasn't been born yet. Proceed with the application as is.

As above, continue with the app.

Once the child is born, you just send a Webform with proof of the birth and the child's Canadian citizenship to update IRCC.

The child is not born yet. So, no need to declare. Update IRCC through the webform once the baby is born.
