My husband is American and I am sponsoring him to come here. Now if by chance I ever get pregnant will we not be able to go through with the paperwork?
 
You will able to do the paperwork....

it doesn't change anything ( if anything, it will serve as an additional proof that you are in a genuine relationship), so go ahead! and in your case, if you're already residing in Canada, you should be covered for your pregnancy for healthcare already... if your baby is born in Canada and you're canadian, then the baby is canadian, no need to sponsor him/her.

Ok perfect I was just worried because I noticed that the new rules state that you cannot have any children in common.

You've misunderstood the new rule.

You can certainly have children in common.

The new rule means that certain sponsored spouses must stay with their sponsor for two years after landing in order to keep their PR status. However some exemptions apply. For example, if you have been married for more than two years this rule does not apply to you. Also, if you have children together this rule does not apply to you.

No problem - trust me when I say it was confusing for all of us at the beginning.

But again, go ahead and get pregnant if that's your plan. No impact to the application.
