Hello
Can anyone remind me what jobs were the ones that you needed experience in for those that applied before changes happened and the list of 38 jobs came out.
I cannot find anywhere what rules I am going to be assessed against.
Thank you

No rules (open NOC), apart from the fact that:
# your work experience must be Skill Type 0 or Skill Level A or B (technical occupations and skilled trades) on the Canadian National Occupational Classification list, AND
# you must have had this experience within the last 10 years. you must have had 1 Year experience in a Profession/Occupation that was under the NOC O,A,B.

There was no shortlisting of occupations. AFAIK and remember, as long as you fulfilled the above criteria you could apply.

BobbyB

Thanks
Thats what I thought I recalled from back then. I have 3.5 years of experience under a job title Skill Type 0, and 6 years under a job title Skill B, for the last 10 years of my life.
I hope that even though they say that we are assessed against all rules, they have not become stricter or pickier so that they have an excuse to not let any more immigrants under this recession times, that is my whole fear about all this.

hmm, Who knows? Nobody can say. With the current trend, anything seems to be possible. It's "Murphy's Law", isn't it?
People who are really ready, qualified and are prepared to move, will have to wait longer or may not even get the chance to move. And, if they do get it at the end, they will/may find out that, they are already, either fed-up or have found themselves in a more stabilized state and start thinking otherwise. Life's like that anyway.
So, Let's wait and see what happens in January. I am not expecting anything to move, though. It is still winter, i'nit? (LOL)
