I am on f1 opt. Waiting for copr. Passport submitted May11 ,2019. If I plan to move to Canada permanently after getting copr, do I need to terminate my student record here in US? If so, should I do it before moving? Can anybody explain the procedure. Also can anyone please explain what questions do they ask on the Canada immigration? I am express entry FSW Outland stream applicant.

The F1 OPT has an expiry date. So you do not need to inform anyone. However, the OPT is issued only once, so if you have not used it, it will be better to meet the international student officer at your university so that he can update your record, but apart from that you do not need to do anything.

Thank you for prompt response . I am on initial opt which is ending soon. So should I need to inform the international office at school before moving to update the record ?

You do not need to inform anyone. You just have to remain in status. Once you leave, there will be an electronic record created, which is enough.
